Thirty-six Italian companies will soon enter 15 countries thanks to SIMEST. The company, which together with SACE forms the CDP Group's export and internationalisation hub, granted loans of about €11 million in September 2017 to a group of companies for commercial operations in Algeria, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Israel, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, the United States and Vietnam. The companies receiving support include:
• Somain Italia Spa is a company in the province of Bergamo that produces a complete range of fall protection devices and systems under the Genesi Italia brand to ensure the safety of personnel in the workplace. Thanks to the SIMEST financing, it will carry out two feasibility studies to assess the possibility of establishing commercial offices in Canada and Israel.
• Biesse Tape Solutions Spa: The company, based in the province of Milan, operates in the production and sale of industrial adhesives in various sectors, including the automotive industry, naval construction, signage and printing.The SIMEST loan will support the expansion of the commercial office in Mexico.The company is a long-time customer of SIMEST, which previously financed the opening of commercial offices in Brazil, China and Singapore.
• Simplast Srl is based in Civitella del Tronto (province of Teramo) and produces and sells flexible packaging for the food and pharmaceutical sectors. It is among the top ten producers in the country.Its main customers include Vicenzi, Bauli, Orogel, Barilla, Amadori, Divella and Melegatti.Thanks to the SIMEST loan, the company – which is also a customer of SACE – will open a commercial office in Dubai that will enable it to serve customers throughout the Middle East.
