SIMEST, the company that with SACE forms the export and internationalisation hub of the CDP Group, backs the Fami Group – based in Rosà (Vicenza), a leader in the manufacturing and sale of industrial storage solutions and furnishings – in Latin America. SIMEST acquired a minority share of the South American subsidiary, an investment worth 1 million euros.
Founded in 1929, it started as a family-run mechanical engineering workshop; over the years the Fami Group specialised in designing and manufacturing industrial furnishings and, especially, storage systems. Today it has production plants in Poland, China, Argentina and offices in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, as well as a significant number of authorised dealers in Europe, South East Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. It exports 34% of its total production. In 2016, Fami became part of Borsa Italiana's Elite Project.
