CDP Group: Alessandra Ricci is the new CEO of SIMEST

After having held positions of increasing responsibility in the robust development of SACE, the manager will have the goal of consolidating and accelerating the growth of SIMEST and contributing to the consolidation of the integrated SACE-SIMEST model in support of Italian business

27 September 2017

The Board of Directors of SIMEST, meeting today under the chairmanship of Salvatore Rebecchini, unanimously voted to co-opt Alessandra Ricci – designated by the parent company SACE – as the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of SIMEST.

Ricci, aged 47, graduated with a degree in Economics and Business from LUISS in Rome and has extensive experience in the field of international corporate finance. After working for 10 years in management positions in the Project Financing sector at Medio Credito Centrale, in 2005 she moved to SACE, where she contributed significantly to the relaunch and development of the company, holding positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately becoming first Chief Business Officer and then Chief Marketing & Underwriting Officer.

The new Chief Executive Officer and General Manager will bring significant experience and skills to SIMEST, with the goal of accelerating growth and contributing to the consolidation of the integrated business model of SACE-SIMEST, the single partner for Italian companies for insurance and financial services in support of exports and internationalisation.

Ricci replaces the outgoing Andrea Novelli, to whom the Board expressed its heartfelt thanks for his major contribution to the company's growth and wished him well in his new professional endeavours.
